Shahid Afridi was born on 1 March 1980 in Khyber Agency, FATA, Pakistan. Afridi is Pathan by cast and belong to a tribal family known as Afidi Pathans. His father name is Sahabzada Fazal-ur-Rehman Afridi. His wife name is Nadia and they have four daughters and their names are Aqsa Afridi, Ajwa Afridi, Asmara Afridi, Ansha Afridi.

International Cricket:

Shahid Afridi made his debut at the age of only 16. He started as a leg spinner. He made his debut against Kenya on 2 October 1996 v Kenya. He went wicket less and did not bat. But his second match against Sri Lanka he played very well and made his first and fastest ODI century and became the youngest player who made ODi century at age of 16 years. He made his Test debut against Australia on 22 October 1998. Shahid made his Twenty 20 International debut on 28 Aug 2006 v England. He has the record of most ODI sixes.

Captaincy:

Afridi led Pakistan team as a captain in One Day International and Test. Afridi named as ODi captain in 2010 after Younis Khan. Afridi led Pakistan team in 2011 ICC world cup played in Subcontinent and reached to the semi final. He is still captain of Pakistan Twenty 20 squad.
