Shafiq is Pakistani cricket player and he is a middle order batsman. He is a
very good batsman and also good fielder. Generally he is a test cricket player
and he has ability to occupy the wickets in test cricket and play a long
inning. Asad Shafiq is a right handed batsman. He is an occasional right arm leg break
bowler. He was born on 28th January 1986 in Karachi in Sindh province. Asad Shafiq started his One Day
International cricket career against Bangladesh in Asia cup 2010 played in Sri Lanka. He scored 17 runs and 19 balls faced and stumped
out by Mashfiqur Rahim. However he was selected in Pakistan cricket squad tour of England and he made his maiden One Day International fifty
against England. Shafiq made his test cricket debut against South Africa in 2010, November 20th. He made his first
test century against Bangladesh and he scored 104 runs. Asad Shafiq made his Twenty 20
International debut against New Zealand. Asad plays for Karachi Dolphins in domestic
cricket. He was selected in Pakistan team for ICC world cup 2011 played in India and he made his world cup debut against Zimbabwe and he made 78 scores. Asad Shafiq helped Pakistan team to whitewash England team in three test matches in United Arab Emirates in 2012. More Details
